Plusschutz worth it? - Not at all

Abstract: long, nevre-wrecking process, involving mutually exclusive decisions and arguments from Allianz itself. Asking me, to chase suspects and presenting it to them.


I do not suggest ANYONE using this service, as they don’t take your arguments for consideration, its waste of your time and money.

Case description:



I have bought 800 Euro smartphone in media-markt and paid extra 250 or 300 for plusschutz. After having robbed my phone in s-bahn by 2 individuals I registered the case within 12 hours, went to police, filed the case online (as suggested by german police office) and later went there personally.


Arguments of Allianz:


1) why did I file report to Police online and not personally?


Answer : German public administration forsees this option and it is NOWHERE in insurance policy written not to!


2) WHY DID NOT I CHASE THE SUSPECTS WHO ASSAULTED ME PHYSICALLY AND ROBBED ME. 


Answer: Without comments. Seriously, I am speechless.


3) IT WAS NOT ASSAULT against a person, it was an assault against the bag.


Answer: THE PHONE WAS IN THE BAG AND OF COURSE THE IDEA OF USING THE FORCE WAS TO ROB A PERSON AND NOT THE OFFENDING THE BAG!



MOREOVER: I presented the LIVE-shots from icloud to police and ALLIANZ, in gesture that I am willing to help investigation.

Results after waiting more than 6 months. Allianz offered me initially reimbursement of 50% of the worth of the phone, namely 400 euro. And after demanding the full reimbursement it FULLY DECLINED.


I presented them the document from court which states that it is classified AS ROBERRY, but instead I got the writing that without court allianz will not give me a penny back.

Just received an email that I have to go to court in order to get reimbursement from them. Again, folks, don’t waste your money, times and nerves. This is pure fraud.
